Coasters

FAQs:

Are these coasters water and heat resistant?

Yes, our wood coasters are water and heat-resistant! We hand apply multiple coats of polyurethane to ensure each coaster is protected. Rest assured, your LazerEdge coasters are crafted to last!

Do these coasters absorb water?

Our wood coasters do not absorb water because the polyurethane finish seals the wood pores. When your drink sweats, the water will collect on the coaster and then evaporate. The engraved ring around the outside of the coaster is designed to keep water on the coaster and off your furniture.

 Car Coasters?

Our wooden coasters would not be able to fit inside of a car cup holder, plus with it being enclosed in the cup holder it might soak up water and ruin the coaster.

Is there any maintenance with these coasters?

Think of your LazerEdge coaster as a piece of wood furniture - but crafted with a more protective finish! While it is not necessary to do any maintenance, we suggest using wood polish to ensure your LazerEdge coasters continue to shine like new!

Are these coasters protected from liquids such as beer, coffee, soda, tea, and wine?

Yes, our coasters are protected from all liquids because of their polyurethane finish. If your coaster is used to catch liquids other than water condensation, we recommend you wipe them with a drop of soap and damp cloth.

My coaster has accumulated white residue on it. What is it and how do I get it off?

Water has minerals in it and when water evaporates in the same spot repeatedly, those minerals are left behind and appear as white residue. To clean your coaster, we recommend lightly scrubbing with a drop of soap and damp cloth.

Will these coasters scratch my furniture?

Our coasters will not scratch your furniture because we put cork on the back of each coaster. This cork prevents the wood coaster from any possible scratching or slipping.

What are the dimensions of this coaster?

This coaster is 4" in diameter. The wood we use is 1/4" thick and we adhere a 1/16" thick cork on the back giving each coaster a total thickness of 5/16". This thickness gives our coasters stability as well as weight so they do not move around or get stuck to the bottom of your glass.

Are my wood coasters safe for outdoor use on my deck or patio?

Yes, it is safe to leave your LazerEdge coasters outdoors as long as they are covered and protected from the elements (rain, strong gusts of wind, snow, etc.). Safe outdoor locations to leave your coasters are inside a screened-in porch or a covered patio.
